Help Your Child Calm Their Stomach, Reduce Anxiety, and Feel in Control Again
A personalised one-to-one approach for teens struggling with IBS, morning nausea, school-related stomach pain, and anxiety.
Book Initial ConsultationWhy Teenagers Struggle With Gut Issues + Anxiety
Many parents tell me mornings have become the hardest part of the day.
Teen gut symptoms are rarely “just a stomach problem.”
They often develop from a gut–mind stress loop, where the nervous system reacts first, and the gut follows.
Anxiety can show up in the gut, the body, or around school and daily pressure.
This can look like:
- Morning nausea or stomach pain
- IBS flares on school days
- Bathroom worries
- Fear of eating before school
- Meal avoidance
- Headaches linked to anxiety
- Overthinking or perfectionism
- Symptoms easing on weekends or holidays
This doesn’t mean something is wrong with your child.
It means their gut–brain system needs calm, support, and retraining.
The 3-Step Teen Gut–Mind Process™
Understand What’s Driving the Symptoms
We begin by identifying your specific triggers, patterns, and how your body is reacting.
As the nervous system settles, the gut becomes less reactive and symptoms begin to ease.
Calm and Retrain the Gut Response
Using simple, repeatable techniques, we retrain how your gut responds to stress, food, and daily situations.
Over time, your body reacts more calmly and predictably.
Help Them Feel Calm and Confident Again
As symptoms reduce, confidence returns.
You begin to feel more in control at work, socially, and in situations that previously felt difficult or limiting.
Introducing the Teen Gut–Mind Program™
A structured, evidence-based approach combining CBT, gut-directed hypnotherapy, and simple nervous system tools to help your teen feel calmer, more in control, and more confident.
This support helps your teen:
- calm their stomach and reduce symptoms
- feel less anxious and overwhelmed
- manage mornings and school days more easily
- build confidence in everyday situations
We keep things simple and practical, so your teen can use these tools in real life - not just in sessions.
How We Work Together
How Many Sessions Will My Teen Need?
The number of sessions varies for each teen and depends on how anxiety is showing up and how they respond as we begin working together.
Many families choose to start with a small block of sessions to build momentum and create early progress.
From there, we review together and continue as needed, allowing support to adapt to your teen’s pace and what they need over time.
Online & Parent Involvement
Sessions are delivered online or in person in Market Harborough.
Parents are included where helpful, while giving teens space to build confidence independently.
Important Information
This work complements medical care and does not replace it.
Sessions follow UK professional standards.

What Is Gut-Directed Hypnotherapy?
Gut-directed hypnotherapy is a clinically supported approach used to reduce IBS symptoms, calm the digestive system, and retrain the gut–brain connection.
It combines gentle guided techniques with CBT and nervous system regulation to help your teen’s body respond more calmly to stress, food, mornings, and school pressure.
Your teen remains fully aware and in control throughout. Sessions feel calm, safe, and similar to guided relaxation - not stage hypnosis.
What Improvement Often Looks Like
- Calmer, more predictable mornings
- Less stomach pain or nausea before school
- Reduced anxiety spikes
- Growing confidence at school and socially
- Better sleep
- More predictable digestion
- Feeling like themselves again
Client Testimonials
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Kym helped me sort out the problems with my stomach and the anxiety I used to feel every day. I don’t get those issues before school anymore, and now I only need to get up 30 minutes before I leave instead of two hours.

The program with Kym has helped our family so much. My son can finally trust his body again - we can all leave the house without worrying about stomach pain, bathroom anxiety, or what he will be able to eat. The change has been incredible, and it’s honestly given us our mornings and our life back.
